Well, looks like I picked a good day for a sick day π Apparently the lovely AMTRAK workers doing an inspection Sunday night into Monday morning in one of the East River tunnels found something wrong. That’s good, right?? They found something wrong…someone should know about it. The tunnels need to be closed, repaired, whatever those highly paid men do in those orange vests.
Well, nobody told the Fail Road in time. When asked, the only answer the Fail Road flack could give was this: “…..What time did we know about the track condition?” Charles said Monday. “All I can tell you is it was sometime after midnight . . . Sometime after midnight could mean 5 a.m., it could mean 3 a.m., it could mean 6 a.m. I don’t know the answer to that.” Check out the story here, from Newsday
What else should we expect from the Fail Road and from AMTRAK? If something bad was found, fine…shit happens, fix it…let us know who will be screwed, and move on. Then, make sure it doesn’t happen again. However, I am trying to apply logic to a governmental entity. Would it have been too much for someone to pick up a phone and say something like “ummm, we found a boo boo, no choo choos in the morning”. Maybe I’m asking too much.
Once again, the Fail Road and AMTRAK has let us down.
F-YOU FAIL ROAD!
